Our mission

Community Baroque Ensemble of Toronto (CBET) is a welcoming community of musicians brought together by a shared love of Baroque music.

Through rehearsals, coaching, performances, and community partnerships, we explore the music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries while building meaningful musical and personal connections.

Some members perform on period instruments. Others are discovering Baroque style for the first time on modern instruments. Some are experienced early music performers, while others are beginning their journey into historical performance practice.

What unites us is curiosity, collaboration, and a belief that music-making is strongest when it is rooted in community.
